Specialty Diving Courses *2-4 days

Here at Dofleini the PADI Instructors are qualified to teach many different Specialty Diving Courses which may vary in number of dives and time taken. Our Instructors will be able to assist and advise you with your selection of the many subjects available. Perhaps you want to dive on wrecks, make a closer study of the aquatic realm or drift along with the current, there are many choices. Remember that dives completed during the Advanced Open Water Course will be credited toward Specialty Dive Courses in the same subject.

Open Water Diver Course * 4 days

The PADI Open Water Diver Course is by far the world’s most popular entry level program, millions of people have qualified for this certification. The course consists of 3 areas, first the theory of diving (facts, principles and concepts). Second is the Confined Water section where you will learn the practical skills, techniques and methods of diving in a safe and controlled environment. Finally the Open Water section of the course where, under the close guidance of your instructor, you will put into practice the skills and theory you have learned while seeing the wonders of the underwater world. The OWD course takes 4 days when based at our center. For those who may prefer self study the PADI OWD ON LINE is available, all of the academic part of the course may be completed before attending the dive center where you may immediately enter the exciting practical part of the course. Whether you have studied on line, or attended the 4 day course, on completion of an informative and interesting exam you will be issued an Internationally accepted PADI Open Water Diver Certificate. Junior Open Water Diver certification is available for 10 – 14 year olds who complete the same course, but with depth levels appropriate to their age.

Advanced Open Water Course *2- 4 days

The PADI Advanced Open Water Course is designed to enhance development of the principles and skills mastered in the Open Water Course and may be taken immediately after attaining OWD certification. While not making you an advanced diver you will learn to fine tune techniques and discover more facets of diving culture. You will learn to navigate and dive to greater depths and have options of three other specialist areas such as diving at night, in currents, on wrecks or maybe underwater photography. Your PADI Instructor will provide you with a full list of available options. This is a very practical course (no exams!) when you will have two exciting days at sea and become more familiar with the submerged inhabitants. Whichever specialist dive you choose you may count it as a component of Specialty Courses you may wish to take in the future. Once you have attained your OWD Certificate you will want to dive, how much better to take the Advanced OWD course so you increase your knowledge and abilities while diving with the constant support of a PADI Instructor. AOWD certification will permit you to dive in far more locations than the OWD certificate because of its extended training levels. Junior Advanced Open Water Diver certification is available for 10-14 year olds with appropriate depth levels.
